At the request of the Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the new digital platform M.I.R.T.A. (Consular Protection and Assistance Online Monitoring) was inaugurated yesterday: it will allow the diplomatic-consular network of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to monitor assistance interventions for the benefit of Italian citizens around the world through a versatile and articulated tool. "With the launch of the new Platform, the commitment of the Farnesina to make the protection of Italians around the world increasingly efficient and effective continues," commented Tajani, who added, "Digitization and innovation are also confirmed as central processes in the monitoring of the many complex events that involve our compatriots abroad: from detainees to medical repatriations, from disputed minors to indigent compatriots". Assistance to detainees, loans to compatriots in need, disputed minors and health repatriations are just some of the areas of intervention that engage the Italian Offices abroad on a daily basis and the management of which will be, thanks to the new platform, marked by even greater capillarity, boosted by an interface that is easier to consult and update and aimed at providing more punctual and constant assistance to all Italians around the world.
