Two carabinieri were killed in a vehicle accident in the province of Salerno. Along the road connecting the municipalities of Campagna and Eboli, three vehicles were involved, one of which belonged to the military. The fatalities are Marshal Francesco Pastore, 25, and the pinned Domenico Ferraro, 27, both of Apulian descent. The carabiniere on the passenger side and the one in the rear seat were killed as a result of the collision with a Range Rover approaching from the opposite direction. The driver was sent to Eboli Hospital, where his prognosis was reserved. Following the collision, the Range Rover crashed with a third vehicle driven by a 75-year-old man who was sent to the hospital with a cautious prognosis. The Ranger Rover driver, 31, was rushed to the hospital with her 18-year-old passenger. The four injured are also present. The Head of State, Sergio Mattarella, and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni offered their condolences to the victims' families.
