The more time passes, the more Ferrari's decision to publicize Lewis Hamilton's contract a year in advance appears to be a mistake. Hamilton's shadow is indeed very heavy, especially at times like the one that characterized the start of the season, when Carlos Sainz suddenly became the fan favorite. He won in Australia sixteen days after undergoing appendix surgery, finished on the podium in Bahrain and Japan, and, most importantly, always finished ahead of his teammate Charles Leclerc. And someone is starting to point out that Leclerc is performing worse than Sainz, who is an unemployed future with no contract for the following season. However, despite missing a race due to a health issue, Sainz has always outperformed Leclerc this season. Meanwhile, the Spaniard returned to discuss his future, telling Sky Sports' microphones: "I have no idea where I will be in 2025. I'm speaking with various teams because that's what you do when you know you'll be unemployed next year. I need to figure out which team could be the best fit for me".
