Italy's sea economy is worth 161 billion euros. This is the figure that emerges from the preview of the 12th National Report on the Sea Economy by the Ossermare National Observatory and Unioncamere's Tagliacarne Chambers of Commerce Study Center. The first data that emerged reveal to us that the sea economy is booming and continues to occupy an ever-increasing space in the construction of Italian wealth, so much so that the total added value - given by the sum of the direct added value of 59 billion euros today and the indirect added value of 102 billion euros - is worth 161 billion euros, which has grown enormously compared to the approximately 143 billion euros in 2021 and is now worth 9.1% of the entire national economy.
