Over the course of two decades, the exportation of Made in Italy wine has nearly tripled (+188%), now reaching 140 countries. In fact, when considering the sales of domestic agri-food products overseas, Italian bottles rank first. This is the conclusion drawn from Coldiretti's analysis of Istat data on foreign commerce over the last two decades. Among the key markets, the greatest rise was observed in France, where growth was 321%, for a value that today amounts to 316 million euros. Sales in the United States, the first outlet for Italian wine, climbed by 148% to a current value of 1.76 billion euros, while in Germany, the second market, sales increased by 69% to 1.19 billion euros in 2023. In Great Britain, there was an 186% increase, totaling 843 million euros. The quantities of wine will be the protagonists at the Coldiretti booth, alongside the figures of the phenomena.
