The Sant'Egidio Community has reached an agreement with the government to allow migrants seeking work in Italy to enter the country legally. The initiative is named "work corridors" because it joins the "humanitarian corridors" that have been tested for several years. The Community of Sant'Egidio, in collaboration with the Evangelical Churches, the Waldensian Church, and the Catholic Church, advocates for refugees fleeing violence and poverty to enter Europe. These new lanes are intended for economic migrants, which Italian businesses are increasingly need.
