If an advisory referendum were held today, 51% of Italians would vote in favor of the construction of new-generation nuclear power plants, and those most in favor would be recorded among the male population (62%), those under 34 (58%), and residents of the Northwest of the country. Nearly 6 in 10 citizens also support the implementation of new nuclear technologies in Italy, while 65% of citizens consider to have given up the development of nuclear energy technologies in past years as a regret that Italy may have today as well as in the future. This is the result of the "Italian Nuclear for Citizens, Businesses and the Territory" survey conducted by SWG on a representative sample of Italians over 18 years of age, which offers an analysis of Italians' perceptions and expectations about the reintroduction of nuclear power.
