The new Alfa Romeo Milano changes its name, after criticism from the government, and will be called Junior. "Although we believe that the name Milano complies with all the legal requirements, and in consideration of the fact that there are highly topical issues that are more relevant than the name of a new car, Alfa Romeo has decided to change the name to Junior, with a view to promoting a climate of serenity and relaxation," explained Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO of the Biscione brand. Government "satisfied" with the decision: "A car produced in Poland, by a company that has most of its interests now outside Italy". This was said by government sources, stressing that the choice came "after an interlocution" with Stellantis "in which the Italian government pointed out that these practices ultimately risk damaging production on Italian territory".
