Italian wine exports are increasing in value in January 2024, up 14% over the same period the previous year, demonstrating the sector's resilience in the face of climate change and international tensions. This is the conclusion reached by Coldiretti after analysing Istat statistics on foreign commerce. Wine remains the leading item of agri-food exports, despite a minor decline of 7.8 billion in value recorded last year. The race for Italian bottles resumes with an equal 14% increase in the United States, the first reference market. There is also a positive sign in Germany, the second largest outlet, with +3%, while in Great Britain the increase is as much as 20%. There was also a minor increase in France (+6%), but in Putin's Russia, they nearly doubled (+87%). The wine boom boosts the overall total of Made in Italy agri-food exports, which in January surged to 5.3 billion euros, up 13% over the same month last year.
