He had been subjected to a psychological test to determine whether he was homosexual. Now, ten thousand euros have been given as indemnification for "moral damage" to the selected agent of the protagonist's penitentiary police force, who filed an appeal to the Tar of the Piedmont in 2022. The amount was charged to the Ministry of Justice. The homosexuality tests were requested in response to a (since proven false) report from two inmates at the jail where the officer worked. The Regional Administrative Court states in the verdict that the policeman's competence for employment was questioned, "conveying the idea that homosexuality attributed to him could be a personality disorder". The administration ordered the test to "clarify" the agent's personality, but the Piedmont Regional Administrative Court ruled that the decision was "arbitrary and lacking in both legal and technical-scientific foundations". There was a "undue overlap" between sexual orientation and personality disorders. When addressing the judges, the agent complained about how the administration "pilloried" him. He said that during the disciplinary proceedings, he was asked "ambiguous questions" regarding his sexual orientation and was later directed to the Milan Hospital Medical Commission for "psychiatric investigations". The doctors discovered no indication of unfitness for service, thus disciplinary charges were filed. The agent reportedly claimed to have been humiliated and sidelined by coworkers, as well as to have been in a "high-stress situation." However, on this chapter, the Tar has not acknowledged the entitlement to compensation.
