"We want to work above all on regular flows: as we did with the flow decree that allows about 12,000 trained Tunisian citizens to be able to come to Italy legally". Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said this in Tunis after a meeting yesterday with the President of Tunisia Kais Saied. "On the legal migration front, I believe much more can be done by Italy," Meloni added, "but it is essential that together we work to continue to fight the slavers of the third millennium, the mafia organizations that in order to make easy money exploit the legitimate aspirations of those who would like a better life. I am happy to be here once again, this is my fourth visit in about a year, confirming the new relationship that we have established with Saied between two nations, Italy and Tunisia, which are already historically very friendly and very close. It is a relationship that has also been strengthened through the personal relationship between Saied and myself, and it is also a relationship that is based on a completely new approach, as equals, moved by the mutual interest of our nations," the Prime Minister concluded.
