After Rome, world tennis moves to Paris. Among the key players at this year's Roland Garros is, of course, Jannik Sinner, who is getting closer and closer to Novak Djokovic in the ATP rankings and becoming world No. 1. Looking at the main draw, the 22-year-old from Sesto Pusteria appears regularly with just under a week to go along with eight other Azzurri who will try to put on a show in the French capital, however, doubts about his physical condition always remain about him. While it is true that Sinner seems to have recovered from his hip injury as shown by the training sessions held in Monte Carlo, to endure two weeks of challenges that may extend to the fifth set one needs to be in perfect shape. Therefore, it is doubtful that a week of training in the Principality will be enough to see him back on the court, especially if one wants to look further ahead with Wimbledon and the Olympics looming. The one who will almost certainly be there is Matteo Berrettini who, after the forfeit in Rome, will have the chance to redeem himself strong from two weeks of training and present thanks to the blocked ranking. The absences have weighed on the morale of the athlete, who seemed to have recovered with the victory in Marrakech, but will now have to take a step forward to return to being the athlete we knew a few years ago. Completing the Italian lineup will be Lorenzo Musetti, Matteo Arnaldi, Lorenzo Sonego, Flavio Cobolli, Luciano Darderi, Luca Nardi and Fabio Fognini while waiting to see if someone else can come from the qualifiers and give a new fairytale after Stefano Napolitano's in Rome.
