Roberto De Zerbi is no longer the coach of Brighton. This was announced by the club on its official website. The Italian coach left the club after the last Premier League game of the season, played Sunday against Manchester United at the American Express Stadium. De Zerbi had arrived at Brighton in September 2022, following Graham Potter's departure for Chelsea. Last year he finished sixth in the league, the best result in the club's history. This season, however, he reached the round of 16 in the Europa League. “I am very sad to leave Brighton, but I am very proud of what my players and staff have achieved with the support of everyone at the club and our fantastic fans over the last two historic seasons,” the coach said on the English club's website, “We have agreed to end my time at Brighton. I have spent two intense and challenging years working in the Premier League, being able to compete in four major competitions this season. Now I can take my time to think about future plans”.
