Emilian entrepreneur Emanuele Orsini is the 32nd President of Confindustria. Active in the wood construction and food industry, he had been nominated by the General Council last April 4 and was elected today by the Assembly with 99.5% of valid votes. Today’s vote, Orsini said at a press conference, “showed that our system is capable of pulling itself together quickly” after a “very heated election campaign”. The entrepreneur will lead the more than 150,000 member companies for the next four years, from 2024 to 2028, when Orsini said, the pillars will be “dialogue, identity and unity”.
