Over 6 and a half billion euros. In August, foreigners will spend an excessive amount of money, crowding the cities, villages, beaches, and mountains of our country. CNA Tourism and Commerce conducted a survey that predicted this. Tourists from across the border are expected to make a total of 39 million overnight stays, up 2.7 million (+7.5%) from last year and 4.7 million from 2019, the previous pre-pandemic year. Non-hotel accommodation will be preferred, albeit slightly, over more traditional hotel solutions. In terms of origin, 70% of foreign tourists will be from Europe, with the remaining 30% from non-European countries. The top ten European countries are Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Poland, Austria, and Belgium. Tourists from the United States of America are expected to increase dramatically. Vacationers arriving from Brazil, Canada, Australia, Japan, China, and South Korea, the Near and Far East countries from which the majority of non-Europeans travel, should also see significant growth.
