Every Italian spends at least one day at the beach during the summer, and this season is no exception: but which beaches are the most popular? Holidu, one of Europe's largest booking portals for holiday homes and apartments, has created a ranking of the top 50 Italian beaches for 2024 using Google Maps data. The first 12 positions in the ranking are all located in Sardinia. The beach of Scivu, in the territory of Arbus, the center of Medio Campidano, is one of the most enchanting stretches of the Costa Verde. Its strength is undoubtedly the fact that it is located in an isolated area, far from inhabited centers. Additionally, it is renowned for its golden sand dunes and crystal-clear waters. In short, the wild and unspoiled environment of the beach makes it one of the most evocative beaches in Sardinia. The beach of Is Arutas takes second place. Located on the Sinis Peninsula and famous for its sand made up of small quartz grains in a variety of colors ranging from white to pink to green, it is a true paradise for nature enthusiasts and divers. The bronze medal goes to Porto Giunco beach, which is near Villasimius and has a long stretch of white sand and a turquoise sea, as well as being close to the Notteri pond, which is home to pink flamingos. After Sardinia's beaches, those in Puglia, Liguria, and Tuscany rank far behind.
