The day after Charles Leclerc wins the Monza Grand Prix, Ferrari replaces the bank. On a very short note, Red Bull said yesterday that "a collaboration between Unicredit and Ferrari" will be official "starting from 1 January 2025" and that "the banking group will be alongside the Maranello company in Formula 1 sporting activities with a multi-year agreement". The institution run by Andrea Orcel will replace Ferrari's existing banking sponsor, Santander, with whom the Prancing Horse will finish its collaboration at the end of 2024, when the three-year contract expires. Santander is Scuderia Ferrari's premium partner in Formula One, and Unicredit is set to join. The communication that Maranello provided to the market prior to the collaboration's commencement appears to suggest that the company felt compelled to notify the stock exchanges, likely due to its belief that the agreement's value was not insignificant. As a result, the company managed by CEO Benedetto Vigna switches from a Spanish bank to an Italian one as a partner, even though the institution led by Orcel operates not only in Italy but also on a global scale. Unicredit will so join the Prancing Horse's other partners, notably HP, with whom the Red agreed a multi-year title agreement last April: the American giant names the team in Formula One.
