Near tragedy in Turin during the Auto Show. A rally car, a Lancia Delta, for reasons yet to be ascertained, lost control and ended up on the crowd standing behind the barriers in Piazza San Carlo, in the center of the Piedmontese capital. Twelve people were injured, all of them minor. Five, however, were transported to the hospital for further investigation, while the others were attended to on the spot by medical personnel. According to an initial reconstruction, during the midday parade, the driver of one of the cars engaged in the parade allegedly made a wrong maneuver, losing control of the car and hitting the circuit barriers in Piazza San Carlo at low speed.
