A tragedy occurred last Monday night on the A4 between Seriate and Bergamo, just a stone's throw from Orio al Serio airport. A 51-year-old Irish Liverpool fan died after being run over by several cars while walking across the highway. The motorists who hit him stopped to alert emergency services. The man - who was alone - had landed a few hours earlier from Manchester to attend yesterday's Champions League match against AC Milan at the San Siro. According to initial reconstructions, the man was to sleep in a hotel located near the Oriocenter, and to get there he allegedly climbed over the fence that delimits the airport from the highway roadway. With him at the time of the accident were two other people, who later disappeared and could be charged with hit-and-run. On their trail is the Traffic Police.
