"Too many foreigners in the classroom". This is the protest of the parents of 12 children at a school in Fondi, in the province of Latina, who have asked en masse for permission to remove their children from school and enroll them in other institutions in the city. It happens at the Alfredo Aspri Comprehensive Institute, in the heart of Agro Pontino, a town with more than 4,000 residents of Indian and Pakistani origin, almost all of whom are employed on farms in the area. A choice that has contributed to the formation of so-called ghetto classes, with one class composed only of Indian and Bengali pupils, one of Albanians and Pakistanis, and, finally, one of only Italians.
