A trial has opened against a 53-year-old Turin man accused of mistreatment for shaving his two children's hair bald in order to draw Juventus’s coat of arms. The "branding" with his favorite team was allegedly done to issue a challenge to his ex-wife's new partner, a Roma fan. According to prosecutors, the radical cut represents a form of harassment. The incident allegedly took place between February and March 2022, when the two children were 6 and 8 years old. According to the mother's statement, her ex-husband allegedly acted out of spite, since the woman's new partner is a Romanist. The 53-year-old, however, claims it was a wish of the little ones, who are Juventus fans like their father. "They reported to me that they did not want to be dressed like that, that they were ashamed," the mother retorted from the witness stand, contradicting the ex's defense argument.
