The business legal services market in Italy is growing. The top 50 signs by revenue (based on estimates compiled by Legalcommunity.it) moved a total turnover of more than 3.492 billion euros. The performance just filed confirms the growth trend of this category of the national legal profession, which has seen the size of its turnover increase by 37.9 percent over the past five years. Counting professionals (accountants and labor consultants also work in many firms) and practitioners, there are more than 11,000 people employed in the largest 50 facilities. The average turnover per person is 313 thousand euros, while the average turnover per partner is about 1.7 million euros. In Business Law, the factors that have supported further growth are once again represented by the exceptional performance of the business on the Corporate Finance front, with M&A dragged in particular by private equity. EY SLT is still confirmed in first place with an estimated turnover of 280 million euros followed by Deloitte (a reality resulting from the aggregation of the STS and Deloitte Legal firms led by Carlo Gagliardi), which rises to within a whisker of first place with 279 million euros in turnover. What's new is on the third step of the podium where PWC SLT reports 10 percent growth and revenues of 244 million euros.
