Almost half of those enrolled drop out along the way, relegating Italy to the bottom of Europe: young graduates account for roughly 30% of the population under the age of 35. However, those who make it to the much-anticipated "piece of paper" frequently receive high ratings. Talents Venture conducted a study that analyzed open data from the Ministry of University and Research for 2022. This also underscores certain excellences within excellence: Girls tend to perform better than boys, and those who complete literary-humanistic courses or in the Centre-South region are more likely to achieve the greatest of the greatest. More broadly, the study finds that among those who acquire an academic degree, up to one in every four achieves the highest possible score: 110 cum laude. A further 22% remain between 106 and 110. Consequently, nearly half of the participants (47%) surpass the psychological threshold of 105/110, which is frequently used for public competitions and selections.
