A frightening incident occurred at the Elio Vittorini high school in Naples' Arenella district, but there were no significant consequences. A power bank exploded within a classroom, intoxicating seven children. The device was in one of the students' backpacks and, after a tremendous roar, caught fire, spewing fumes into the classroom and intoxicating the students. Two kids were transported to the emergency room for examination. The principal promptly contacted 118, and the classroom was evacuated. The carabinieri seized the charred backpack as well as the power bank, which was being used to charge a tablet at the time of the explosion.
