In Turin, a 36-year-old woman gave birth to her first child despite being diagnosed with a rare head tumor during pregnancy. It is a chondrosarcoma of the clivus, a bony area located in the center of the skull. It is the first case in the world. The woman underwent surgery in her fourth month of pregnancy and then gave birth by cesarean section at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of St. Anne's Hospital. The perfectly healthy newborn has already returned home with his mother, and both are doing well.
