An agreement has been signed for the renewal of the national contract of the Central Functions sector for the three-year period 2022-2024, which covers about 195 thousand public employees in ministries, tax agencies and non-economic public bodies, including Inps and INAIL. The signing took place with the consent of CISL-FP and the autonomous organizations Confsal Unsa, FLP and Confintesa FP, while FP-CGIL and UIL-PA chose not to join. The agreement still won a majority with 54.6% union representation. The new contract provides an average salary increase of 165 euros per month, for thirteen months. The main changes include the possibility of a four-day work week, while still maintaining the 36-hour week, but only on a voluntary basis and on an experimental basis. In addition, smart working employees will be able to take advantage of meal vouchers.
