With a livelier atmosphere and a lineup full of guests, yet still running smoothly and on schedule, the second night of the Sanremo 2025 Festival has come to an end. Carlo Conti, joined by top model Bianca Balti, recovergin from a cancer, television personality and writer Cristiano Malgioglio, and comedian Nino Frassica, hosted an evening of performances, entertainment, and distinguished guests.
After featuring the first 14 artists on the opening night, the Ariston stage welcomed the remaining 15 contestants in the competition, along with the four "Nuove Proposte" who triumphed at Sanremo Giovani. Among the young talents, Alex Wyse and Settembre secured a spot in the final, which will take place during the third night of the festival.
One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the performance of Damiano David, lead singer of Måneskin and now an international star, who captivated the audience with a rendition of Felicità by Lucio Dalla. He was accompanied by actor Alessandro Borghi and his nephew Vittorio Bonvicini, who was visibly moved. The Roman singer then returned to the stage with Born with a Broken Heart, his latest single in English. From the Suzuki Stage, Big Mama performed La rabbia non ti basta, the song she had brought to the Ariston stage last year.
Beyond the music, the evening also featured the cast of the film Champagne, dedicated to the life of Peppino Di Capri, with young Alessandro Gervasi thrilling the audience on the piano with the iconic song. Vittoria Puccini then presented the Rai fiction Belcanto, while the cast of Paolo Genovese’s film FolleMente surprised the audience with a choral performance of Somebody to Love by Queen.
Finally, Carolina Kostner, ambassador of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, spoke about the journey of the Olympic and Paralympic flame as it travels across Italy, adding a sporting touch to the evening.
The ranking for the second night confirmed the audience’s favorites, featuring Giorgia, Simone Cristicchi, Achille Lauro, Lucio Corsi, and the addition of Fedez replacing Brunori Sas. The anticipation now builds for the third night, with new performances and the much-awaited final of the "Nuove Proposte" competition.
