The curtain falls on the third night of the 75th edition of the Sanremo Festival, an evening filled with music, emotions, and iconic moments. The event opened with Edoardo Bennato performing Sono solo canzonette, his manifesto song celebrating its 45th anniversary.
On the Ariston stage, the “re-listening” of the 29 competing songs was completed, with 14 artists returning after their debut on Tuesday. Voting was split between the public at home via televoting (50%) and the Radio Jury (50%). Joining artistic director Carlo Conti as co-hosts were Miriam Leone, Elettra Lamborghini, and Katia Follesa.
One of the most anticipated moments was the arrival of Duran Duran, celebrating 40 years since their first Sanremo appearance. They delivered a medley of hits, including Invisible, Notorious, and The Wild Boys. Victoria De Angelis of Måneskin joined them on stage, with Simon Le Bon warmly declaring, “We love this girl.” Adding a touch of humor, Katia Follesa recreated a scene inspired by the film I Will Marry Simon Le Bon, appearing in a wedding dress and proposing to the frontman.
The night also showcased inclusivity with a performance by Teatro Patologico, a project using art therapy for people with disabilities. "We help and save so many young people, giving hope to millions of families," said founder Dario D’Ambrosi.
Among the surprises was 11-year-old Samuele Parodi, a young Sanremo expert, who amazed the audience with his knowledge, answering Conti’s festival history questions without hesitation.
Finally, the partial ranking placed Coma_Cose (Cuoricini), Brunori Sas (L’albero delle noci), Irama (Lentamente), Olly (Balorda nostalgia), and Francesco Gabbani (Viva la vita) in the top five.
The magic of the Festival continues as Sanremo 2025 moves closer to its grand finale.
