Following hundreds of recent tremors, residents in Pozzuoli, Quarto, as well as the Neapolitan districts of Bagnoli and Fuorigrotta, are selling their homes out of fear of an earthquake - often at a loss. A quick search on the main online platforms for buying and renting homes gives an idea of how many people want to quickly get rid of houses bought with great sacrifice back when the land was still. Listings for sale and rent are increasing. On Immobiliare.it, there are 585 results for houses for sale in Pozzuoli, with 184 in the Neapolitan district of Bagnoli (where the recent 4.4 magnitude earthquake caused the most damage). On Idealista, Pozzuoli has 513 sale listings, with a total of 775 in the Phlegraean Fields area. In Naples, there are 123 listings for Pozzuoli and 530 for Fuorigrotta, which is the location of the Diego Armando Maradona stadium. On casa.it, 98 houses have been listed for sale in Pozzuoli in the previous month alone, as well as 135 in Naples between Bagnoli, Fuorigrotta, and Agnano, where the famous Solfatara with its fumaroles and sulfur hills is located. Meanwhile, average prices are falling sharply. Some people are selling their three-bedroom property with amenities for 195 thousand euros. In the area of the Temple of Serapis, where columns bear visible marks of bradyseism, 90 sqm houses could be sold for around €90,000.
