“We are governing at probably the most difficult time since the postwar period. A little bit of everything has happened and is happening”. With these words Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni opened the video message sent yesterday to the Lega congress in Florence. In her speech, she touched on hot topics of economic and international current affairs, starting with the issue of the duties announced by the United States. “We will also address the issue of duties, with determination and pragmatism, without alarmism,” Meloni said, “We obviously did not share the choice of the United States, but we are ready to put in place all the tools, both negotiating and economic, necessary to support our companies and our sectors that should be penalized”. A significant passage was then dedicated to European policies: “We will come back to forcefully ask Europe to review the ideological regulations of the Green Deal and the over-regulation in every sector,” the PM stressed, “Today they represent real internal duties that would end up adding senselessly to the external ones”.
