In Italy, the danger of poverty is increasing even among full-time workers. In 2024, 9% of employed individuals earned less than 60% of the national median income after social transfers, up from 8.7% in 2023. This is the conclusion drawn from the recently disclosed Eurostat tables. This figure is more than double that of Germany, which stands at 3.7%. When part-time workers are included, the likelihood of poverty increases to 10.2% among employed people aged 18 and up who work at least half of the year, up from 9.9% the previous year. In Spain, the share of full-time workers at risk of poverty is 9.6%, while in Finland it stands at 2.2%.
