Bari is confirmed as the city with the best climate in Italy. Contributing to the result are 15 weather indicators compiled by Il Sole 24 Ore newspaper's research department. Puglia's capital city takes the top step of the podium, where it had already climbed last year, followed by two territories on the Adriatic coast: nearby Barletta -Andria-Trani, in second place (the data refer to the average performance of the three towns), and Pescara in third place. Three cities in the South occupy the podium in the ranking. The South, in general, reigns in the Top 10, which also includes Enna (ranked first in the heat index), Chieti and Catanzaro. The Top 10 includes almost all coastal territories, but there are only three provincial capitals from the Center (Livorno, Pesaro-Urbino and Ancona) and one from the North, namely Trieste. The latter made its debut in the Top 10 thanks to its leadership in the indicator on summer breeze, while, with no surprise, it is last for its wind gusts. Among the large cities within the Top 50 are Venice (15th place), Cagliari (26th), Naples (28th), Genoa (33rd) and Rome (47th).
