In 2024, Buzzi's Russian subsidiaries, which have always continued to operate even after the Ukrainian conflict, are seeing results grow despite the devaluation of the ruble. The numbers emerge from the financial report of the Casale Monferrato-based group, whose operations in Vladimir Putin's country are worth 346.6 million euros in net terms. Buzzi produces cement, concrete and natural aggregates. It operates in 13 countries and employs about 9,000 people. There are 10 plants in Italy and more than 1,400 direct employees. Revenues from the Russian subsidiaries stood at 294 million euros net, up 3.3% annually, while EBITDA, at 97.1 million euros, closed at essentially flat. As warned by the financial report, “The devaluation of the ruble (-8.6%) unfavorably affected the translation of results into euros; at the same exchange rate, revenues would have increased by 12.2% and EBITDA by 9.6%”.
