Epic night for Inter, which clinches the 2024/2025 Champions League final at the end of a breathtaking semi final against Barcelona. At the San Siro the match ended 4-3 after extra time: Frattesi's goal in the 99th minute was decisive, giving the Nerazzurri a pass to the last act of the competition, scheduled for May 31 at the Allianz Arena in Munich. After the 3-3 draw in the first leg, Inter got off to a strong start and closed ahead in the first half thanks to its captain Lautaro Martinez, who got off the mark in the 21st minute by taking advantage of a Barça defensive error, and then earned the penalty converted by Calhanoglu in the second half (45'+1). In the second half, Barcelona reacted: shortening with Eric Garcia (54'), equalizing with Dani Olmo (60') and taking the lead with Raphinha in the 87'. When all seemed lost, Acerbi found the 3-3 at 90'+3 and took the challenge to extra time. In the first extra time it was Frattesi, in the 99', who put an end to the match, giving Inter a historic qualification. The Nerazzurri now await the outcome of the other semifinal between PSG and Arsenal (1-0 for the French in the first leg) to know the name of the last opponent.
