Leonardo extends its position at the Asian Development Bank by presenting a strategic seminar titled "Geospatial Domain - Digital Transformation for Water, Urban, and Agriculture Sustainable Development" at the bank's 58th annual meeting. Climate change, the use of geospatial technologies, and sustainable natural resource management are all significant themes in the argument."Information derived from satellites is now an essential tool for planning and managing development," stated Stefano Pontecorvo, the Chairman of Leonardo. He also emphasized that global security now encompasses aspects such as access to food, water, and energy, as well as digital protection. Leonardo has implemented effective measures to fortify its involvement in international projects that are supported by development banks, such as the establishment of a new International Affairs function. A commitment that has resulted in innovative technology solutions integrated into critical sectors such as cyber security, artificial intelligence, and satellite monitoring. Among the most recent outcomes is the appointment of e-Geos, a firm owned by ASI and Telespazio, as prime contractor for a European Space Agency project focused at increasing the use of geospatial information in fragile environments, with a direct impact on development cooperation. Finally, it signed an agreement with BF Spa, included in the Mattei Plan for Africa, to jointly confront the issues of climate change and agro-industrial transformation, with the goal of coordinating action at the world level.
