Throughout his lengthy career, he has been involved in numerous renowned trials, both as a defender and as a civil party. He also defended controversial figures such as Pietro Pacciani and Donato Bilancia. His son Giuseppe, who is also a lawyer, broke the news: "Today my father fought the final battle with the same determination as always, the one that no one can win", he wrote on Facebook. "He leaves a big void, as well as unforgettable memories of his knowledge, irony, enormous humanism, and kindness".
