According to Almalaurea and Skuola.net, the best-performing master's degree programs in Italy offer immediate employment and greater pay. Literature, Law, and Psychology fare poorly. Contrary to common assumption, a degree is still an effective way to enter the workforce. However, not all faculties provide the same opportunities. According to the most recent Almalaurea survey and Skuola.net portal research, master's degrees in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Medicine, and Pharmacy provide the best employment, wage, and insertion times. Industrial & Automation Engineering ranks first among the most "convenient" areas of expertise, with 91.2% employment, an average of two months to find a job, and a net monthly salary of €1,686. This is followed by the IT and ICT area (90.3% of employees, 2.2 months and 1,719 euros) and the Medical-Health and Pharmaceutical area (84.1%, 2.5 months and 1,644 euros). On the contrary, degrees in Law, Psychology, and Humanities are less effective: they require more time to enter the labor market (up to 10.7 months for Literature) and guarantee much lower salaries. Psychology, for example, ends with an average net wage of 1,005 euros per month.
