The Senate has adopted a measure allowing workers to participate in company management. The law identifies various types of participation. 1) Management participation: encompasses the diverse methods by which employees collaborate in the organization's strategic decisions. 2). Economic and financial participation: enables employees to participate in the company's profits and results, also through capital participation instruments, such as shareholding in lieu of performance bonuses. 3) Organizational participation: this pertains to the methods of involving employees in the decision-making process regarding the company's numerous production and organizational phases. 4) Consultative participation: This involves the expressing of opinions and proposals on the decisions that the company intends to make. The law originated from a CISL initiative, which collected 400,000 signatures, while the CGIL and UIL did not participate, viewing the measure as an impediment to the industrial relations system.
