Two more Italian foreign fighters from the Ukrainian International Legion have been killed. Antonio Omar Dridi, 34 years old, born in Palermo but living abroad for years, had been missing since March 27, when, according to what a fellow soldier told his family, the bunker where he was located was bombed. The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had officially listed him as “missing in action". Nevertheless, a photo of the boy has been posted on the Facebook page of the "Memorial - International Volunteers for Ukraine" association, which unites legionnaires and ex-combatants who are dedicated to Kiev. The post includes an invitation to remember the boy. The second, Manuel Mameli, is still missing according to investigators. Born in Cagliari in 2000, he was involved in an operation near Pokrovsk when a Russian drone struck him and his squad, injuring another Italian national. His fellow soldiers have informed the Italian embassy in Ukraine that his body has yet to be discovered due to its location in an inaccessible area controlled by Russian forces.
