Orizzonti Rosso, an exhibition that explores the color red through the perspectives of art and fashion, was inaugurated in Piazza Mignanelli, Rome. The exhibition provides a multifaceted perspective that interprets red not only as a color, but as a symbolic and aesthetic force of extraordinary power. The exhibition features fifty of Valentino Garavani’s most iconic red creations, spanning over five decades of his career, alongside thirty modern and contemporary artworks — many of which are on display in Rome for the first time. From the iconic Fiesta dress in the inaugural collection in 1959 to the most recent design in 2008, Valentino's red has become an unmistakable signature. Featured artists include: Andy Warhol, Clyfford Still, Cy Twombly, Francis Bacon, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Louise Bourgeois, Gerhard Richter, Helen Frankenthaler, Marlene Dumas, Mark Rothko, and Pablo Picasso, alongside Italian masters such as Afro Basaldella, Agostino Bonalumi, Alberto Burri, Alighiero Boetti, Luca Capogrosso, Lucio Fontana, and Mario Schifano.
