Eight hundred years after St. Anthony's passage through France, "En Route con Sant'Antonio" begins, a 1,306-kilometer Jubilee journey that retraces a critical phase of his life. Between 1224 and 1227, the Saint was an itinerant preacher in France before returning to Italy and becoming Minister Provincial of Northern Italy. The journey will begin on June 29, 2025 at Brive-la-Gaillarde, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and conclude on September 21 at the Basilica of the Saint in Padua. The itinerary, organized by the Friars Minor Conventual and the heart of the "Antonio800" initiative, will follow a “relay” format, in a Franciscan spirit: humble, shared, and welcoming. The event is being promoted in partnership with several Franciscan realities in Italy, France, and Belgium, and it has the patronage of the 2025 Jubilee. It is open to everybody and does not require registration. Information on stages, elevation, and lodging is available at www.antonio800.org. A daily video diary will document the journey, aired by local Italian broadcasters and French network KTO.
