The GIMBE Foundation's survey of secondary school students underscores the expanding disparity between the National Health Service and the younger generation. As per the data, over 50% of students are unaware of the health ticket, one in five children do not know their family doctor, and over 80% have never used the Electronic Health Record (EHR). In this context, nearly 40% of respondents report that they actively employ artificial intelligence tools, including ChatGPT, on a daily basis. A figure that reveals ambivalent scenarios: while these technologies offer the potential for information access, the absence of sufficient scientific and digital skills can cause young people to be exposed to unverified or misleading content, with potential negative consequences on health and the correct use of public services.
