An American fund is reportedly interested in taking over the Monza soccer club from the Berlusconi family. In the last few hours, new rumors have been circulating about potential buyers of the Brianza team, which landed for the first time in its history in Serie A under the management of the former Prime Minister, who passed away on June 12, 2023, but was relegated back to Serie B a few days ago. The potential buyer would be Blue Crow Sports Group, a company with other soccer investments, including Club Deportivo Leganés. According to MF-Milano Finanza, the sights to take over the Monza shares from Fininvest would not be from Blue Crow, however, but rather from one of the fund's so-called limited partners, that is, an individual who has invested in the vehicle founded by Texan Jeff Luhnow. According to the newspaper, this would be Alex Rodriguez, a former American baseball star and owner of the A-Rod investment fund. Rodriguez currently figures among the shareholders of the NBA team Minnesota Timberwolves.
