Another attack on Lombardy logistical platforms occurred during the night of June 2 and 3. This time, the target was the Lacchiarella Logistics Center, located on the outskirts of Milan. Around 3.20 a.m., a gang of at least six people entered the plant and took possession of two trucks loaded with supplies, the worth of which has yet to be determined. In order to flee, the bandits engaged in a shootout with the security guards, resulting in four non-serious injuries. They then covered the escape by setting fire to two trucks, two vans, and two cars, thereby creating a diversion that required the Fire Brigade's intervention. To prevent pursuit, they scattered nails on the surrounding roads. It is an operation that demonstrates a high level of planning and a paramilitary execution technique, while simultaneously endangering the safety of medical rescuers and firefighters. Lombardy logistics is now the target of this kind of organization. Just two months prior to this crime, on April 9, 2025, a group of at least eight people carried out a similar attack on a logistics platform in San Giuliano Milanese, also on Milan's outskirts. In November 2024, the Carabinieri apprehended seven individuals of Ukrainian and Moldovan descent on suspicion of being affiliated with a gang that specialized in warehouse assaults. Their unique feature was the division of tasks: the Ukrainians were in charge of stealing the cars used to block the roadways, while the Moldovans planned and carried out the assaults. According to detectives, this gang would have committed multiple assaults over the last three years. Now, another gang has picked up where they left off.
