Starting next school year, the use of cell phones could be banned in high schools as well. This was announced by Education Minister Giuseppe Valditara, emphasizing his intention to extend the ban already in place for elementary and middle schools. The minister reiterated the need to limit classroom distractions and promote an environment more conducive to learning. At the same time, Valditara renewed his support for the proposed law - currently being debated in Parliament - that would ban minors under the age of 15 from accessing social networks. A measure that, he hoped, could be approved soon with the cross-party support of the political forces.
