The "100% Made in Italy Certificate" label for software was launched — the first official brand certifying an entirely Italian software supply chain. For the first time, software is viewed as an industrial, strategic, and identity product rather than just a tool. In other words: Made in Italy. Two studies, one by Luiss Guido Carli University and the other by the Observatory of the Polytechnic University of Milan, show a sector that is already worth over 62 billion euros in revenue and employs 300,000 people. Yet it's still a sector struggling to gain full recognition. The objective of the "100% Made in Italy Certificate" is to ultimately accord software the recognition it deserves as a strategic industrial product, on par with manufacturing. It represents not only an excellence of Made in Italy, but is also one of the most dynamic drivers of innovation and AI development.
