In Italy, there is an open battle against web programs that allow users to watch matches, films, and television shows for free on television. A battle of communications, but above all of rules and fines, to combat the unlawful streaming of copyrighted content, with the Communications Authority (Agcom) at the forefront, having established a national anti-piracy platform known as "Piracy Shield". By summer, following a public consultation, Agcom will issue new copyright protection regulations adapted to current needs, including measures to block streaming of films and TV series. Raising the alarm is the Serie A soccer league, whose clubs are among the main victims of illegal IPTV transmissions.
