None of the five referendum questions for 2025 received the quorum required to validate the vote. With only a few sections left to count, the turnout stands at 30.58%, which is significantly lower than the legal requirement of 50% + 1 of eligible voters. Citizens were asked to vote on four questions about labor and one about citizenship at polls that remained open until 3 p.m. However, interest has remained extremely modest, with minimum peaks in Trentino Alto Adige (22.7%) and Sicily (23.1%). The five abrogative questions pertained to labor legislation and the timelines for applying for Italian citizenship.
