An 80-year-old man drove his car down the Trinità dei Monti staircase, one of the most iconic sites in the capital, covering a significant stretch before being stopped by a local police patrol. The incident occurred at roughly 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The fire department also arrived on the site and towed away the vehicle. The old man was unhurt, tested negative for alcohol, and did not require hospitalization. The man has been reported. Investigations are still underway to determine the reasons and dynamics of the incident.
