Lega Serie B has officially postponed the return match of the Play-Out between Salernitana and Sampdoria, which was originally planned for Friday, June 20. The decision came following a case of food poisoning that affected as many as 21 members of the Campania club. The rescheduled date for the match is Sunday, June 22, 2025, with kickoff at 8:30 p.m. at the Stadio Arechi in Salerno. The first leg, played in Marassi, ended with a comfortable 2-0 victory for the Blucerchiati team. The postponement was ordered in response to Salernitana's request on June 16, which was accompanied by medical documentation from the hospital facilities in question and a complaint that had already been submitted to the Genoa Prosecutor's Office. After consulting with the FIGC, the Federal Medical-Scientific Commission, and reviewing the regulations in force, the Lega made the change official via an official statement.
